(Atlanta News First) — A shooting involving an officer happened Friday in Lumpkin County, according to the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office. The shooting incident happened on Emory Stephens Road. The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office said the Hall County Sheriff’s Office was involved in the shooting but did not say how the agency was involved. A suspect in the hospital was taken to the hospital, the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office said. Officials have not said what led up to the shooting or identified anyone involved.
